WEDDINGS
WEDDING CEREMONY
PIANO PLAYING
I specialise in providing beautiful piano music for one of the most memorable days of your lives. With a live pianist you will be enhancing the mood and atmosphere of your special day, much more than a CD player ever could.
As your pianist I will play a mixture of music to your taste while your guests await the arrival of the bride. I always ask couples to choose songs to be played for the entrance of the bride, signing of the register and for your exit as a married couple. Don't worry if this is not in my repertoire, I will happily learn any song to perfection for your big day, and I am always happy to make suggestions whether this is soft & romantic, upbeat or otherwise.
CHAMPAGNE DRINKS RECEPTION
PIANO PLAYING
Live piano music during your drinks reception always provides a lovely background atmosphere to this part of the day. when you are having photos taken and mingling with your guests. The mood is much more uplifting with a live musician and I often welcome requests from guests admiring the music. An average timescale for this period of the day is around an hour to an hour and a half.
During the Drinks Reception I will usually perform on my portable digital piano as most venues don’t have a piano. This also enables me to play piano for you out in the gardens during summer months.
WEDDING BREAKFAST
PIANO PLAYING
Piano playing during the wedding breakfast adds a huge impact to the feel and atmosphere of your first meal as a married couple.
During the meal I often play a huge variety of styles to fit to the mood of your day and to the different ages and tastes of your guests. I start by playing gentle piano music while you guests enter the room and take their seats, progressing to more well know songs as the courses progress. During the later stages of your meal I tend to play more upbeat and uplifting songs and sometimes guests make requests which often results in singalongs. Some venues have a piano present in the wedding breakfast room where I will happily play the piano in situ, although it is more common for me to bring and use my own portable white piano, which sounds every bit as good as a grand piano piano - also allowing me the flexibility of tailoring the volume to suit your guests and room size.
